De nouveau sur la Blogosphère de Finance

Un mystère est que cette blogosphère si riche outre-Atlantique, et ce depuis des années, l’est assez peu de ce coté ci.
Justement FT Alphaville, blog associé au FT, vient de débuter une analyse de cette blogosphère. Elle débute par une interview d’une bloggeuse les plus suivis aux Etats Unis, Yves Smith qui anime Naked Capitalism.
Elle s’attache à donner une explication au « mystère » de la manière suivante :
« …But if there’s a mission, it’s to encourage critical thinking… which such a big issue with the UK readership isn’t. There’s a much more native skepticism there. There’s Question Time where there’s a tradition of people getting up and savaging each other – in a rather articulate manner.
[In the US] there’s American myth versus reality – a myth of American individualism. And yet there’s a deference to authority here that you don’t see in other cultures, and it’s rather hard to reconcile.
The classic kind of post I do that I hope encourages critical thinking is when I read a newspaper story and it’s obvious PR and the journalist wasn’t sufficiently skeptical of it, and I take it apart…”
